Full packing
If you need a full package solution for your relocation, dial the phone number at the top of this page and speak to our representative. Tell them that you need not only moving, but also packing services. In this situation, both movers and packers in Miami will arrive a day before your move. The movers will bring packing supplies such as shrink crab boxes, dish packs, cardboard boxes for any silverware, and fragile items. If you need it, they can bring picture boxes and other boxes for mattresses. Everything will be based on your preferences and the number of items that need to be packed. Our movers will do all the work required in this situation. You won’t have to lift a finger. We’ll pack everything in boxes. All dishes will be wrapped up and protected by packing paper. Our packaging company in Miami will do that for you for only $140 an hour for two professional packers and movers. If you have a two-bedroom or three-bedroom house, we will send three professional packers and movers for $190 per hour plus the cost of packing supplies.
Packing supplies
The cost of packing supplies depends on the amount of tape, shrink crap, mattresses, covers, boxes, and plastic crates that our movers use to protect your belongings from scratches and damage during a local or long-distance move. The amount of material needed is determined by the spreadsheet that you can see at the bottom of this page. This is the approximate amount of supplies we will use for a full packing solution in Miami.
Box delivery or plastic crates delivery
Born To Move movers in Miami will deliver boxes and plastic crates in advance. This way, you can pack your things before the movers arrive. You can also leave this task to our packing team. They will drop off boxes a week or two weeks prior to the move. It’s all determined by the desired date, and then you can pay for the supplies that we will use. We’ll also take away any unused supplies, so, you don’t have to pay extra for the supplies that you don’t want. Moreover, we will drop off all necessary supplies, such as mattresses, covers, boxes, and plastic crates, if you decide to rent plastic crates from us. For plastic crates Born To Move charges $5 per week per plastic crate.
Once you’ve done your move and no longer need plastic crates, just call our office, and we will pick up all plastic crates. You just have to pay the fee. This is the process of plastic pick-up. On average, for a one- or two-bedroom apartment, we’ll need 30 to 40 plastic crates to be delivered on site.
Partial packing
Packing can be done on the same day by our professional packers and movers in Miami. Our movers will bring boxes, tape, mattresses, and covers on the same day. We will partially pack your kitchen. This process means that the movers will be doing the kitchen or putting some of the small stuff into the boxes, which should take approximately one or three hours to complete. So partial packing can be done on the same day. We don’t have to come and spend the entire day in your apartment, it could be done quickly. For partial packing, we charge the same hourly rate of $140 per hour for two movers and $190 per hour for three moving experts.
Self packaging
Self packing means you will have to prepare all the boxes for us when you’re moving to Miami. Our movers will either drop them off before the move or you can pick up the boxes from our warehouse and do packing on your own. Most customers prepare boxes on their own when hiring a moving company in Miami.
Usually, customers use their own boxes or buy them from Uhaul or Home Depot. You’ll pick them up from us, whichever works best for you.
Please prepare as many boxes as you can. We’ll pick up your pictures, put each picture separately into each picture box. Then, we’ll pack the TV. If you have a box on the TV, use it. If you don’t have a box for your TV, you will have to use our box for $50. We can get a new box from Amazon for $30 in this case. We will safely transport your TV to the required destination.
Packing for long-distance moving
Packing for a long-distance move in Miami is a little different than a regular move because some states prohibit the bringing of small trees and plants. So, be sure to check with the state that you are moving to about the regulations that apply to transporting plants and trees. Don’t bring anything illegal into the state, like California! Trucks and personal vehicles will be checked every time you move. Just let them know that you’re going to bring plants, and they will tell you if it is allowed or not. This is a strict regulation, and you can get fined up to $10,000 if you fail to declare the plants you bring.
Packing for local moving
Packing for local movement is very easy because you don’t have to do anything when you hire a packing and moving company in Miami. You can prepare the boxes yourself, and the movers will pack, disassemble, and reassemble your furniture for you. All you need to do is put the small stuff into boxes, clean up the closets, and pack all the kitchen stuff in the packing paper and stack them nicely inside the boxes.
