Extra heavy lifting when moving

Moving is not an easy task, especially when you need a hand with extra heavy lifting. While many moves that we don’t involve extra heavy lifting because typically we move household items such as furniture boxes, and sometimes appliances, other things that we need to do come with more demanding challenges. When items are too heavy or bulky, or we need additional mover to lift extra heavy items from the ground. This is called extra heavy lifting that comes into play, and we charge $60 per item for all items over 160 lbs.

We charge $60 per item, which will involve paying this amount directly to the Movers for their hard work and sacrificing their muscles to move heavy stuff out from your current place to your new apartment. When we provide extra heavy moving service, we bring special trucks equipped with lift gates and ramps. What equipment do we use?

For extra heavy lifting, we always use liftgate truck straps and dollies—this equipment is utilized to perform a safe move. Sometimes we do need the crane if we have to move extraordinarily heavy objects that we cannot get up the stairs, and Born To Move provides a crane by customer request, so it’s very easy if you’re looking for crane services.

Permits

We do not require permits, but if you require to bring the crane to your location in one of the most congested area of the city we will have to get police involved to get in this street block and as well as getting the permit so make sure to secure a right spot to do the extra heavy Moving for you.

When do you need to notify us about heavy lifting?

You must let your move coordinator know in advance that you have extra-heavy items. This allows us to carefully prepare and schedule an extra crew member if needed.
